I started painting this in April of 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Keystone Pipeline
project threatening tribal sacred sights, racial injustice, fires raging in the western US & Australia, earthquakes and a myriad of other natural disasters. I was painting my rage and my sorrow &, hopefully, through the process, finding balance and peace within all of the turmoil. It is still a work in progress, as we are still finding that path to balance in the world.
