The 24-Hour Nonstop Visionary Art Train informed a lot of my painting this year, practicing art with an amazing group of visionary artists. (If you’re unfamiliar with the genre, think Alex & Allyson Grey and Laurence Caruana & Florence Ménard Cuepaliztli of the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art.)
With the pandemic, I had an opportunity to really dive deep into my fine art; I painted every day for nine months in the style of of fantastic realism, sharpening my skill in mische technique. This is a type of of visual alchemical art that involves constantly working in layers between dark and light, like a dance, because things are pulling forward and backward.
For me, it’s about what I want to see in the world, the changes that need to happen in order for us to evolve and heal the planet. I see visions of what I envision/dream/want to see in the world. And I translate them to the page by painting, and then other people can see that possibility and help make it move forward.
